I have coached for over 15 years at Hyland Hills (Ice Centre at the Promenade). My skating career began ant age 7 in Boulder, CO When that arena closed I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to train at the Broadmoor World Arena. At the urging of my coach, Barbara Roles, I went on to represent Austria (I was born in Vienna) in numerous Jr. and Sr. international competitions. I won the Austrian Jr. National title in 1982 and then competed in Sapporo, Japan at Jr. Worlds in 1984 and won figures, finishing 7th overall. I also competed in six Austrian National Championships. |

I believe that skating is not just a sport but that I can teach life skills as well. I enjoy teaching jumps, spins, moves in the field and doing choreography. My favorite jump to teach is an Axel. The sit spin and flying camel are my favorite spins to teach. I especially like to layout programs focusing on ice coverage and bringing out individual skater’s strengths. |

I coach skating because it is my passion and I don't think of it as just a job. I enjoy working with skaters of all ages and continue my education as a coach by attending seminars and reading about new technical advances. I want to share my knowledge and experiences with the next generations of skaters. When I’m not at the rink I enjoy spending time with my family including husband Jeremy, daughters Jasmine and Juliana and our dog Gracie.
